How Epic Was It?

Pretty darn epic...

Without ever taken a physics class in high school, I challenged myself to build a catapult for my 18th birthday party. However, after over fifty hours of failed math and schematics, I decided to let Amazon do the dirty work (Water balloon launcher) and my friends and I would simply build a wooden frame for the plastic slingshot to rest inside.

Settling with a slighshot ended up being a fantastic idea, and I would likely not have had such an amazing 18th birthday party had I gone with my initial plan! I learned two very important lessons that day. First, be open to scaling back projects if it results in a better product. Second, if your first idea fails, just tell everyone you meant it exactly how it turned out. :)
